Ginseng Exosome

Duration15 min Effect9 months Sessions3-4 session(s)

What Is It?

Ginseng exosome is a product from the plant-sourced family of exosomes; we work with vesicles obtained from the ginseng plant. Exosomes act in the cell rather like a light switch. Just as you switch a light on and off, they are expected to speed up or slow down some of the cell’s work depending on the situation. Ginseng is also among the plants known for their antioxidant content.

With exosomes, the source is a choice independent of the area treated. A plant-sourced or an animal-sourced product can be applied to the same area, and this is one of the most decisive choices in the protocol. In practice we prefer a plant source in two situations. One is patients who have reservations about animal-sourced products; the other is when allergy history narrows the choice of source. So we decide at examination which source is suitable, together with the condition of your skin and your own preference.

How Is It Done?

At examination I first sort out whether the problem in your skin is about tissue quality, or about volume loss or sagging. Then we make the source and dose decisions. We choose ginseng exosome for a patient who prefers a plant source, or where we find this source suitable. At this stage I ask separately about your allergy history, especially to plant-derived ingredients.

We apply numbing cream beforehand. We deliver the product into the superficial layer of the skin with very fine needles, through evenly spaced points. A session takes 15-20 minutes on average, which is short compared with some exosome protocols. We usually plan a series of 3-4 sessions and set the interval and dose for each person.

Who Is It For?

We consider it for patients who complain that their skin has become dull and looks tired and lifeless, and who want support for tissue quality. It stands out for those who prefer a plant source and where we don’t find animal-sourced products suitable.

On its own it won’t meet the expectation where there is marked volume loss, deep lines or advanced sagging. Pregnancy and breastfeeding, active infection or an inflamed lesion in the treatment area, a bleeding disorder, uncontrolled autoimmune disease and a known allergy to plant-derived ingredients change the plan. We take into account that a plant source can also cause a skin reaction; if that happens, we deal with it on the spot. We go through these one by one at examination.

Process & Recovery

  1. Examination and source decision

We assess your skin and choose the source; we ask separately about allergy to plant-derived ingredients. We plan the dose and number of sessions accordingly and take photographs.

  2. Session day

After numbing cream, we deliver the product into the superficial layer with fine needles. The session takes 15-20 minutes on average.

  3. First 24 hours

Redness and small bumps appear at the injection points and usually settle within a few hours. We don’t recommend make-up, pools or sauna on the same day.

  4. Between sessions

We set the interval across the series for each person. You usually notice the first revival in your skin after the second session.

  5. End of series and maintenance

When the 3-4 session series is finished, we assess the result with photographs. We plan maintenance for the effect to continue.

Results & Duration

Even though the sessions are short, what counts here is completing the series. The effect comes gradually over the series; you usually notice the first revival after the second session.

The generally reported range is around 9 months, and it varies from person to person. The response depends on the starting condition of the skin, the dose applied and lifestyle habits. Maintenance is needed for the effect to continue.

What Is Not Promised

We don’t expect volume from ginseng exosome. It doesn’t fill deep lines or gather sagging skin. It doesn’t lighten pigmentation on its own, and it doesn’t take the place of sun protection.

Being plant-sourced does not in itself make it superior. We choose the source according to the condition of your skin and your preference; this choice doesn’t mean ranking the products. I can’t promise a particular skin appearance or duration.

Key Benefits

  • Antioxidant power
  • Cellular renewal
  • Skin vitality

“For a patient who prefers a plant source we use ginseng; for another patient a different product may be right. I make this choice by looking at the skin, the allergy history and the patient’s own preference.”
