Jalupro Super Hydro

Duration30 min Effect6-12 months Sessions2 session(s)

What Is It?

Most of my patients already know about hyaluronic acid. What sets Jalupro Super Hydro apart is the amino acids added alongside it. Amino acids are the building blocks of collagen.

These two ingredients do two separate jobs. Hyaluronic acid binds water; it is what gives hydration and a feeling of plumpness. The amino acids are the raw material the skin uses when it makes its own collagen. So on one side there is hydration you feel quickly, and on the other there is structural support that builds over time. The product does not add volume or fill lines. What we are aiming at is the quality and elasticity of the skin.

How Is It Done?

First I assess the skin. How dry is it, how dull, how much elasticity has it lost? If the real problem is volume loss or sagging, I say at the outset that this needs a different plan.

Before the treatment we apply a topical anaesthetic cream. We deliver the product with fine needles into the superficial layer of the skin, through evenly spaced points. We most often work on the face, neck, décolleté and the backs of the hands. A session takes 20-30 minutes on average. We usually plan 2 sessions, 2-4 weeks apart; if the condition of the skin calls for it, we can add more sessions.

Who Is It For?

It suits patients who tell me their skin has become dry and dull, that fine surface lines have increased and that it has lost elasticity. It often comes up when the skin looks tired after a lot of sun, smoking or a demanding period. Beyond the face, we also choose it for areas most people neglect, such as the neck, décolleté and the backs of the hands.

In a patient with deep lines, marked volume loss or advanced sagging, it will not meet expectations on its own. We do not perform it during pregnancy or breastfeeding, if there is active infection or an inflamed skin lesion in the area, or in cases of bleeding disorders, uncontrolled autoimmune disease or known allergy to any of the product’s ingredients.

Process & Recovery

  1. Skin assessment

We look at how dry and dull the skin is and how much elasticity it has lost. If the source of the problem is volume loss or sagging, I say so at the outset. We take photographs.

  2. Session 1

After the topical anaesthetic cream, we deliver the product with fine needles into the superficial layer, through evenly spaced points. The session takes 20-30 minutes.

  3. First 24 hours

Redness and small bumps appear at the injection points and usually settle within a few hours. Bruising can occur. On that day I advise against make-up, swimming pools, saunas and intense exercise.

  4. Weeks 2-4 — session 2

The second session is the same as the first. By this stage the first difference in hydration and plumpness has usually become clear.

  5. End of series and maintenance

We assess the result about a month after the second session. To keep the effect going, we usually plan a maintenance session every 6-12 months.

Results & Duration

You may notice hydration and plumpness after the first session. The tissue change the amino acids support takes longer; the skin does not make its own collagen in a day. That is why we assess the result about a month after the second session.

The effect is generally reported to last 6-12 months. Response varies with the starting condition of the skin, age, how much sun it has had and lifestyle. Maintenance sessions are needed to hold on to what you have gained.

What Is Not Promised

Jalupro Super Hydro is not a filler. It does not add volume, does not fill deep lines and does not reshape areas such as the cheekbones or chin. It does not lift sagging skin, does not lighten pigmentation and is no substitute for sun protection.

I cannot promise how your skin will look or how long the effect will last. If you stop the series after one session, we will not get the result we are aiming for.

Key Benefits

  • Intense moisturizing
  • Elasticity increase
  • Vibrant skin

“We should not forget that collagen is a protein. If we want the skin to produce more collagen, we have to supply the amino acids it will make that collagen from. That is why I use Jalupro.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Jalupro a filler?

No. It does not add volume or fill lines. It works on the skin’s hydration, quality and elasticity.

How does it differ from Salmon DNA?

They work by different routes. Both act on skin quality, but Jalupro supplies the raw material for collagen production, meaning amino acids, while Salmon DNA carries a repair signal. We decide which one suits you at the skin assessment.

How many sessions are needed?

Usually 2 sessions, 2-4 weeks apart. If the condition of the skin calls for it, we can add more.

Is it painful?

Usually there is a brief stinging sensation. We apply a topical anaesthetic cream beforehand.

Which areas can be treated?

We most often work on the face, neck, décolleté and the backs of the hands.

When will I see the result?

You may notice hydration and plumpness after the first session. For the change in the tissue, we wait a month after the second session.

How long does it last?

Generally 6-12 months. To keep the effect going, we plan a maintenance session every 6-12 months.

Who is it not suitable for?

We do not perform it during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if there is active infection or an inflamed lesion in the area. Bleeding disorders, uncontrolled autoimmune disease and known allergy to the product’s ingredients also rule it out.
