Medical Glass Skin

Duration30 min Effect4-6 months Sessions1-2 session(s)

What Is It?

“Glass skin” is a description of a look that comes from Korea: smooth, hydrated skin that reflects light evenly. Medical Glass Skin is a protocol I put together. In the same session we work with devices first, then give a skin booster, and close the session with a mask. We aim for that glow by stimulating the skin’s own repair, without make-up or a layer applied on top of the skin.

The logic of the protocol lies in the order. First we cleanse the skin with two cleansers, one oil-based and one water-based. Then comes the plasma device. At this stage we aim to loosen the surface cells and open the pores, to help the solutions that follow penetrate the skin, and to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Onto the ground we have prepared, we deliver a skin booster containing exosomes and PDRN by micro-injection; this is the stage where we feed the cells we have woken up with the device. Next we work a repairing care cream deeper into the skin with a near-infrared light device. The session ends with an exosome-supported mask and a calming closing care. Combinations give us better results. That is why we bring the device, the injection and the care together in the same session, in a set order.

More detail: Detox Lift — the protocol combined in the same plan, Glow Touch — where the plasma stage is used on its own, Salmon DNA — where PDRN is applied on its own

How Is It Done?

We start the session with a skin analysis. I look at the dryness, the uneven tone and which layer the fine lines come from. We cleanse the skin with the two cleansers and apply the plasma device. When the device stage is finished, we deliver the skin booster by micro-injection. We work the repairing care cream deeper with near-infrared light and complete the procedure with an exosome-supported mask and a calming closing care.

You can leave the session and go straight back to your daily life; there may be brief, mild redness at the injection points. We give you a follow-up appointment to track the change. We decide the number and spacing of sessions at the examination, according to the condition of your skin. We discuss at the start whether to go with a single session or a series.

Who Is It For?

It suits patients whose skin looks dry, dull and lacking in light, and who describe fine lines, blemishes and uneven tone linked to dryness. In my experience, patients with dry skin benefit most, because most of their complaints come from the same place: loss of moisture and of the skin barrier.

If there is an open wound, active eczema, inflamed acne or sunburn on the skin, we postpone the session. Pregnancy and breastfeeding, a medical device such as a pacemaker, bleeding disorders and known sensitivity to any of the ingredients are things we discuss separately at the examination. In a patient whose main problem is volume loss or sagging, this protocol will not meet expectations on its own; in that case we build the plan differently.

Results & Duration

After the session the skin feels fresh and hydrated. The difference in tone and radiance becomes clearer over the following weeks, as the skin’s own repair comes into play. How long it lasts depends on your care at home, how well you protect your skin from the sun and its starting condition. We do not promise a lasting effect.

What Is Not Promised

Medical Glass Skin does not add volume or lift sagging. It does not close deep acne scars and does not replace fractional laser. We did not design it as a pigmentation treatment; it aims to support the appearance of uneven tone. It should also not be confused with the momentary smoothness of a “glass skin” look done with make-up. What we expect here is a change in skin quality that appears over time. No one can promise how many sessions you will need or how much radiance you will get.

Key Benefits

  • Hydration and radiance support
  • Support for even tone
  • Reduced look of fine lines

“You no longer need to go to Korea for glass skin. This is not a cream or make-up effect: we wake the skin up with the devices, then feed the cells we have woken with the skin booster. My patients with dry skin benefit most from this protocol; for a patient with sagging, I would not recommend it on its own.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Medical Glass Skin and Glow Touch?

The content and the aim are different. I designed Glow Touch for patients who hold back, asking “Does it involve needles?”; it combines the plasma stage with PRX-T33. In Medical Glass Skin, after the plasma we deliver a skin booster containing exosomes and PDRN by micro-injection, work the care cream deeper with near-infrared light and close the session with a mask. We decide at the examination which one suits you.

Can it be combined with Detox Lift?

Yes, we can combine them in the same plan when needed. Detox Lift works on muscle tone and lymphatic drainage, while Medical Glass Skin targets the surface quality of the skin. I plan the order and the spacing myself.

Will there be marks afterwards, and when can I return to social life?

You can go back to your daily life as soon as you leave the session. There may be brief, mild redness at the injection points, which usually settles the same day.

How many sessions are needed?

We decide at the examination, according to the condition of your skin and your expectations. At the follow-up appointment I look at the change and update the plan.

Can it be done in summer?

Yes. In summer we stay away from treatments such as laser and gold needle, but the plasma stage does not create sun sensitivity the way a laser does. We postpone the session if the skin is sunburnt, and sun protection afterwards is essential.
