Youth Injection
What Is It?
The youth injection means placing hyaluronic acid based products into the superficial layer of the skin with a fine needle. The name has caught on in everyday speech in Turkey. It is not one brand. It covers a group of treatments aimed at skin quality. Filler adds volume and gives shape. The aim of the youth injection is to support the skin’s capacity to hold water.
Think of the skin as a layer of sponge. One of the substances that helps that sponge hold water is hyaluronic acid. It is already present in the skin and can hold many times its own weight in water. Its amount decreases with age, sun and smoking. The skin becomes dull, fine lines become more visible as the day goes on, and make-up no longer sits well on the skin. The youth injection approaches this picture from the hydration side. The result we expect is skin that reflects light more evenly.
How Is It Done?
First we look at the skin: the hydration level, how the fine lines are distributed, the pores and surface appearance, and the degree of sun damage. If the complaint comes from volume loss, the youth injection is not the right tool. We make that distinction before choosing a product.
We deliver the product with a fine needle in small deposits. Depending on the area, we choose either the micro-papule technique, which leaves little bubble-like bumps on the surface of the skin, or a wider scatter. Besides the face, we can treat the neck, décolleté and the backs of the hands with the same logic. We use a topical anaesthetic cream beforehand, and the procedure takes about 15-20 minutes. The plan is usually 2-3 sessions, 3-4 weeks apart. We do not judge the first session on its own.
Who Is It For?
It suits patients whose skin looks dry and dull, whose fine lines become more visible during the day, and who say their make-up no longer sits well on the skin. Smoking, lack of sleep and heavy sun exposure bring this picture forward. From the late twenties onwards it is also chosen as prevention.
If there is marked sagging, deep lines and volume loss, it is not enough on its own; there, the youth injection becomes a supporting part of the plan. Pregnancy and breastfeeding, active infection or an active acne flare in the area, bleeding disorders, uncontrolled autoimmune disease and known allergy to the product change the plan. We go through these one by one during the examination.
Process & Recovery
Skin assessment
We look at the hydration level, surface quality and how the lines are distributed. We work out whether the complaint comes from tissue quality or from volume loss. The number of sessions and the interval between them are decided here.
Treatment day
After a topical anaesthetic cream, we deliver the product with a fine needle in small deposits. The procedure takes 15-20 minutes, and you go back to your daily life the same day.
First 24 hours
There is redness, small raised bumps and pinpoint tenderness at the entry points. These usually disappear within a day. You postpone make-up, sauna and strenuous exercise.
Session spacing
We plan the sessions 3-4 weeks apart. Because the change in the skin becomes visible as the sessions add up, we ask you to keep to the intervals.
Review and repeat
When the sessions are finished, we do a review. We set the maintenance interval according to your skin type and lifestyle.
Results & Duration
You feel the hydration effect in the first days. The real difference appears as the sessions are completed, on average within 3-4 weeks, in the way the skin reflects light. The change is gradual: the skin looks more rested.
Duration varies with the person, the product we use and lifestyle; the generally reported range is 6-12 months. Sun protection and smoking affect this duration the most. When the effect fades, we can repeat the session. If you stop the treatment, your skin does not end up worse than where you started.
What Is Not Promised
The youth injection is not a filler. It does not add volume to areas such as the cheekbones or lips, does not change the oval of the face and does not tighten sagging. It does not erase deep expression lines and does not replace botulinum toxin.
It is not a pigmentation treatment either. It does not lighten darker patches in the skin tone and does not replace sun protection. We cannot promise a particular appearance or duration; the response varies with skin type, age and habits.
Key Benefits
- Intense moisture
- Skin radiance
- Skin quality support
“With mesotherapy, we work to improve the tissue. Once we have improved it, how quickly you wear it down again is something I cannot know. Sun protection and smoking are the biggest factors in how long it lasts.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the youth injection the same as filler?
No. Filler adds volume and gives shape; the youth injection supports hydration and the quality of the skin. They answer different complaints, and when needed they can be used together in the same plan.
How many sessions are needed?
Usually 2-3 sessions, 3-4 weeks apart. We set the exact number during the examination, according to the state of your skin and the product we use.
How long does it take, and is it painful?
It is not very painful. The procedure takes about 15-20 minutes. We apply a topical anaesthetic cream beforehand. You do feel the needle, of course; most patients describe it as a fine prick.
Will small bumps remain?
They do, but not for long. With the micro-papule technique small bumps form and usually disappear within a few hours to a day. This is something we expect to see.
Which areas besides the face?
The neck, décolleté and backs of the hands are areas we treat often. The skin there is thinner, so we assess the technique and the amount separately.
When will I see the result?
The feeling of hydration starts in the first days. The visible difference becomes clear as the sessions are completed, on average within 3-4 weeks.
How long does it last?
The generally reported range is 6-12 months. Sun protection and smoking directly affect this duration.
Will my skin get worse if I stop?
No. When you stop the treatment, the skin returns to its own course; it does not end up worse than where you started.
