French Threads (Full Face)

Duration60 min Effect2-3 years Sessions1 session(s)

What Is It?

In the full-face protocol we apply the thread lift to the face as a whole. The mid-face, the jaw line and the area under the chin are planned in the same session, with vectors that support each other. When only one region is treated, a mismatch can remain between it and the region next to it. We build the plan for the whole face to reduce that risk.

The technique is the same as in a single-region treatment. The difference lies in the scope and the planning. I have explained the structure of the thread, the collagen response and how healing goes on the main page.

How Is It Done?

In the facial analysis we work out the degree of sagging and the vector direction for each region separately, then assess them all together. We place the threads under local anaesthesia along the planned lines. The procedure takes about 60 minutes and is planned as a single session.

Who Is It For?

It suits patients who describe loosening in more than one region, where we think correcting a single region will not be enough, and who do not want surgery. If sagging is advanced, this protocol is not enough and a surgical assessment comes first.

Active skin infection, bleeding disorders and the use of blood thinners, uncontrolled autoimmune disease, a tendency to keloid scarring, and pregnancy or breastfeeding directly affect the plan.

Results & Duration

The lifting effect is visible in the session. As the swelling and tightness go down, the appearance settles, and it reaches its final form in about a month on average. The reported range is 2-3 years. This depends on your tissue structure, on keeping your weight stable and on your lifestyle.

What Is Not Promised

The full-face protocol does not count as a surgical face lift and does not take its place. It does not correct volume loss, does not change skin quality and does not erase expression lines. We make no promise of a particular amount of lift, a particular facial appearance or a particular duration. The threads dissolve over time and leave no permanent structure.

Key Benefits

  • Full face lifting
  • Long-term effect
  • Non-surgical tightening

“When you lift one region, the one next to it stays as it was, and a step can form between them. The face ages as a whole. So I prefer to build the plan for the whole face as well.”

— Dr. Sinan Akyürek

Frequently Asked Questions

How does it differ from a single-region lift?

The technique is the same; the difference is in scope. Here we plan the mid-face, the jaw line and the area under the chin in the same session, with vectors that support each other.

How many sessions are needed?

One session. We decide when to repeat it at the review, based on how the tissue responds.

When does the result settle?

The lift is visible in the session; the final appearance emerges in about a month on average.

How long does it last?

The reported range is 2-3 years. It varies with your tissue structure and your habits.

What happens to the threads over time?

They dissolve and leave no permanent structure behind. The effect that remains comes from the tissue’s own response.
