MCT Exo-Tech

Duration30 min Effect2-3 years Sessions1-3 session(s)

What Is It?

MCT Exo-Tech is an injectable bioimplant that we prepare from my patient’s own blood. It has two components. The first is a scaffold made by bringing platelet-poor plasma (PPP) to a gel consistency with heat processing. The second is PRP enriched in exosomes. The scaffold provides volume and support in the tissue, and the PRP side carries the renewal signal.

You can think of exosomes as little speech bubbles that cells send to one another. The plant or animal source distinction I describe on the other exosome pages has no place here. In other words, the source is you. It contains no synthetic polymer, so it is considered autologous and the likelihood of an allergic response is low. In this respect it is a separate heading from both filler products and off-the-shelf exosome products.

How Is It Done?

First we look at the area and your expectations and work out how much of the need is volume and how much is tissue quality. Then we draw blood from your arm and make two separate preparations. We turn part of the plasma into the gel-consistency scaffold by heat processing and enrich another part in exosomes.

We deliver the prepared bioimplant to the target area with a fine needle or a cannula. Including the blood draw and preparation, the whole procedure takes 60-90 minutes on average; the injection is a small part of that. We usually build the plan as a single session, and it can go up to 1-3 sessions as needed.

Who Is It For?

It suits patients who want renewal in skin quality together with measured tissue support in the same session, and who would like us to work with their own biology instead of a synthetic product. For a patient worried about allergy to products, the fact that it is autologous becomes a reason to choose it.

On its own it is not enough for pronounced volume loss or an expectation of reshaping; in that case filler is a separate matter. Pregnancy and breastfeeding, active infection in the area, a bleeding disorder, uncontrolled chronic illness and conditions that affect blood values change the plan. We discuss each of these separately at examination.

Process & Recovery

  1. Assessment

We look at the area and your expectations and work out how much of the need is volume and how much is tissue quality. If needed, we request your blood values.

  2. Blood draw and preparation

We draw blood from your arm. We turn part of the plasma into a gel-consistency scaffold by heat processing and enrich another part in exosomes. This is the longest part of the procedure.

  3. Treatment

We deliver the prepared bioimplant to the target area with a fine needle or a cannula. Including the blood draw, the whole procedure takes 60-90 minutes on average.

  4. First 48 hours

Redness, mild swelling and tenderness appear in the area, and bruising is possible. We put off sauna, strenuous exercise and pressing on the area.

  5. Review

At the end of the first week we check how it has settled. Because the change on the renewal side develops over months, we leave the main assessment to later check-ups.

Results & Duration

You notice the fullness the scaffold provides after treatment, and the appearance settles as the swelling goes down. The renewal side is slow. The difference in skin quality builds up over weeks and months.

The reported range of effect is 2-3 years. The duration varies with the area, the amount used and the person’s response. Ageing carries on, so the treatment does not stop time; we try to hold on to the point reached.

What Is Not Promised

MCT Exo-Tech provides measured fullness, yet it doesn’t count as a reshaping tool the way hyaluronic acid filler does. It doesn’t build a cheekbone or jawline and doesn’t change facial proportions. It doesn’t gather sagging skin or do the job of a surgical lift.

I can’t promise a particular appearance, degree of fullness or duration. The response varies with what your own blood contains and the condition of your tissue. Pigmentation and deep expression lines are separate matters too.

Key Benefits

  • Cellular repair
  • Skin quality
  • Renewal support

“What I like about this treatment is that we don’t add a product from outside. Still, being prepared from your own blood doesn’t make the result certain. Your tissue still decides the response.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is MCT Exo-Tech considered autologous?

It is prepared entirely from your own plasma and contains no synthetic polymer. That is why the likelihood of an allergic response is low.

How does it differ from exosome products?

The source is different. In off-the-shelf exosome products the source is plant or animal; here the source is you. It also contains a scaffold component that provides tissue support.

Does it replace filler?

Not entirely. It provides measured fullness, yet it doesn’t count as a reshaping tool. Where there is pronounced volume loss, we assess filler separately.

How long does it take?

On average 60-90 minutes, including the blood draw and preparation. The injection is a small part of that.

How many sessions are needed?

We usually plan a single session; it can go up to 1-3 sessions as needed. We set the number according to the area and your expectations.

How long does it last?

The reported range is 2-3 years. The duration varies with the area, the amount used and the person’s response.

What happens after treatment?

Redness, mild swelling and tenderness are expected, and bruising is possible. You go back to your daily life the same day; we put off strenuous exercise and sauna.

When will I see the result?

You notice the fullness within a short time. The change in skin quality builds up over weeks and months.
