Ozone Therapy
What Is It?
Ozone therapy is a supportive treatment in which ozone gas (O₃) is brought into contact with the body in set doses and in a controlled way. Its most common form is major autohaemotherapy. We draw a quantity of blood, treat it with ozone under sterile conditions and return it in the same session.
The idea is to activate the cell’s antioxidant defence with a mild stimulus. In the clinic we position it as support. The level of evidence varies from one condition to another, so we set expectations cautiously from the start. We also plan it alongside whatever medical treatment our patient is already receiving.
How Is It Done?
Beforehand we go through your medical history, your medication and any chronic conditions, and add blood tests if needed. This treatment uses an intravenous route, so we do not skip this step. We ask specifically about G6PD enzyme deficiency and your thyroid.
In the session we draw blood from the arm. We treat it with a set dose of ozone in a closed, sterile system and return it through a vein. A session takes 40 minutes on average. We usually plan the protocol as a series of around 8 sessions, at 2-3 sessions a week. We decide the dose and the number of sessions according to the patient’s condition.
Who Is It For?
We consider it for people who feel worn down by a demanding pace, who want support for their general well-being, or who want to add support alongside the medical treatment they are already receiving. We assess suitability together with the medical history every time.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding, G6PD enzyme deficiency, uncontrolled thyroid disease, bleeding disorders and blood-thinner use, advanced cardiovascular disease and acute infection all change the plan. We go through these one by one at examination. If you have an ongoing complaint, we want its cause investigated first.
Process & Recovery
Assessment
We go through the medical history, medication and chronic conditions and request blood tests if needed. We ask about G6PD and the thyroid specifically.
Session day
We draw blood from the arm, treat it with a set dose of ozone in a closed, sterile system and return it through a vein. A session takes 40 minutes on average.
After the session
You can go back to work the same day. There may be tenderness for a few hours where the needle went in. We ask you to drink plenty of water.
Through the series
Sessions continue 2-3 times a week. During this period we also follow your sleep, diet and activity, and we do not judge the support on its own.
End of series
When the series of around 8 sessions ends, we go over the change you describe and discuss whether a repeat is needed.
Results & Duration
The response varies from person to person and comes with no promise of a measurable result. What our patients most often describe is a difference in their general well-being and in how tired they feel. This is a subjective observation, and it may not appear to the same degree in two people.
For the same reason, how long the effect lasts is not fixed. Once the series ends, we decide the repeat interval by looking at what you describe and at your daily routine. The medical treatment you are already receiving is part of that decision too.
What Is Not Promised
Ozone therapy does not count as a treatment for disease, and it does not replace the medical treatment your doctor has planned. It cannot be a reason for you to stop or reduce your medication. That decision belongs to your treating doctor.
It does not secure your immunity. It carries no promise of recovery from any disease, including cancer, and it does not replace investigating the cause of an ongoing complaint. We make no promise of a measurable change, a particular level of effect or a set duration.
Key Benefits
- High energy
- Holistic support
- Cell renewal
“When a patient asks me for ozone, I tell them in our first conversation that it goes alongside a treatment already under way. If we try to use it as a replacement, it stops being support and becomes a risk.”

Why are blood tests requested?
It uses an intravenous route, and we need to know about some conditions in advance, G6PD enzyme deficiency for example. We do not skip this assessment.
How long does it last?
