Thread Jawline Lift
What Is It?
In a thread jawline lift we carry the loosened tissue along the jaw line upwards with suspension threads. We do not change the bone or the proportions of the face. We gather the tissue that hangs over the line so that the contour becomes visible again.
A jaw line can lose its definition for several different reasons. The tissue may have loosened, fat may have built up under the chin, or the bone support may be insufficient. Threads answer only the first of these. Weak bone support calls for filler, and excess fat for volume reduction; those are separate treatments.

How Is It Done?
At the consultation we look separately at the degree of sagging, how far forward the tip of the chin sits and the volume under the chin. Under local anaesthesia we place the threads along the jaw line on the planned vectors and carry the tissue upwards. The procedure takes about 60 minutes on average.
Who Is It For?
It suits patients who describe sagging along the jaw line, whose contour has lost its sharpness, and who do not want surgery. If bone support is insufficient or fat under the chin dominates, it is not enough on its own. We decide the order in which we proceed at the consultation.
Active infection along the jaw line, a bleeding tendency and the use of blood thinners, uncontrolled autoimmune disease, a history of keloid, and pregnancy or breastfeeding change the plan.
Results & Duration
The tightening is visible in the session. As the swelling goes down, the contour becomes clearer and reaches its final form in about a month on average. The reported duration is 2 years and varies with tissue structure and with how stable your weight stays.
What Is Not Promised
A jawline thread lift does not change the bone structure and does not bring the tip of the chin forward. That is why it does not replace filler. It does not reduce fat under the chin, and it does not take the place of surgical lifting either. We do not promise a particular contour, a particular sharpness or a particular duration.
Key Benefits
- Jawline definition support
- Jawline definition
- Contour gathering
“There is no single way to sharpen a jawline. I first ask my patient why the line has disappeared. Is it sagging, fat, or missing support? The answer decides the method.”

Frequently Asked Questions
How does it differ from jawline filler?
The two do different jobs. Filler supports the jaw line and brings the tip of the chin forward. Threads lift the tissue that hangs over the line. Depending on the source of the complaint we plan one of them, and sometimes both together.
Is it the same as a double chin thread lift?
No. A double chin thread lift targets the area under the chin and the upper neck. Here we work on the contour of the jaw line, and both the vectors and the placement are different.
When does the result settle?
The tightening is visible in the session; the final appearance emerges in about a month on average.
How long does it last?
The reported duration is 2 years. It varies with your tissue structure and how stable your weight stays.
What is recovery like?
For the first two weeks there is tenderness and tightness along the jaw line. We ask you to avoid opening your mouth wide, sleeping face down, sauna and intense exercise.
